The FA has today announced that Plymouth Argyle's midfielder Adam Randell, together with first team physio Alex Kay and sports therapist Abner Bruzzichessi, are facing misconduct charges following the 1-1 draw with Cardiff City at Home Park last Saturday.

Referee James Bell, who had a busy day at the office, gave four yellow cards to Plymouth, including Randell, and also gave three cautions to Cardiff players and dismissed defender Dimitrios Goutas in the second half for a professional foul on Bali Mumba.

Tempers flared at the end of the match, with Cardiff frustrating the home supporters and players amid accusations of time wasting as they looked to cling on to a point.

But after the match, it is alleged that Randell "acted in an improper manner and/or used violent conduct and/or threatening behaviour towards a match official" near the dressing room.

Furthermore, Kay and Bruzzichessi are charged with acting in an "improper manner" after the end of the match.

An FA statement read: "Plymouth Argyle's Adam Randell, Alex Kay and Abner Bruzzichessi have been charged with misconduct following their EFL Championship fixture against Cardiff City on Saturday, February 22.

"It's alleged that the player acted in an improper manner and/or used violent conduct and/or threatening behaviour towards a match official after the final whistle in or around the match officials' dressing room.

"It's also alleged that the physiotherapist and sports therapist acted in an improper manner in or around the home dressing room after the match had finished. Adam Randell, Alex Kay and Abner Bruzzichessi have to provide their respective responses to these charges by Monday, March 3."
